Climate
Ghana may be tropical but nobody is drinking pina coladoes. The people have many hardships including climate.
The average temperature in Ghana is 80 degrees Fahrenheit that means they can farm all year. And farming all year means that there are a lot of crops. That means people will have a lot of farming jobs. So kids drop out of school to work on a farm. Lots of money would then come from farming.
Ghana’s average rainfall is 63 inches. With all that water they don’t have to water their plants a lot, and a lot of plants grow naturally like bananas.
Ghana is hot with seasonal rain. So it has some rainforests and it is tropical, so lots of plants grow there. And animals go where there is food, and where there are animals there are bound to be hunters. That explains why there is a huge hunting and forestry market in Ghana.
Squalls come around once in a while in Ghana, and when they do they wreck crops, buildings, boats, and other things. That makes for bad income.
Can you imagine never having a day under 50 degrees Fahrenheit in history? Well that happened in Ghana. That means the crops have a great chance of surviving because there will be no frost. That would make a good income.
It is much drier in the north. The north has less rain, humidity, and more dry wind. All these elements make for bad farming, and with bad farming come bad income. Lucky for Salifu she lives in the south. In the south Ghana has 83 inches of rain on average. That is a lot of rain. They must have great farming. People in the south like Salifu have lots of crops. Lots of crops to sell mean’s the people have more money. Now they can buy more food. All that food means everybody is healthy and healthy people means everybody is happy.
In the south the land is mostly flat and it has warm weather and rain. That mixture makes for perfect farming conditions. With the perfect farming conditions in the south they have lots of good crops. Salifu lives in the south so she has a great chance for success. So Salifu is and would be a great investment.
