Our class has been working on a project involving microfinance. We first went on Kiva.org and chose an entrepeneur to fund. After that, we split up the research of learning about our country. Our entrepeneur was a young woman named Salifu Hassana who is a resident of Ghana and wants to start a business of selling millet. She needs a loan to help start this business to help support her family and to give back to her community. We then researched her country Ghana, and made the notes in to a persuasive report. Next, we put parts of the report together and typed in to one executive summary. We hope that you enjoy our website and decide to invest your money into Salifu. Why wouldn't you after you've looked at our info?

When we were first given this project, we were assigned teams and told to come up with a name. We decided to call ourselves the Ghana Gosanganas, with a slogan of we Ghana win!! The members of our group are Luke, Amelia, Ben (me), Andrew, and Vivian. Luke and Andrew came up with the idea of this name.

Ghana Gosanganas!!!!

AS the video above explains, you could change the world...  For FREE!!!!! So please just try! You could completely make a difference in the life of Salifu Hassana, and we know she sure would appreciate it!

GAMES!

This game above really helps people. For every question you get right, they donate a spoonful of flour to the poor people. Plus, the questions are pretty easy!

If you want to know more about Salifu, than you can take this link I have to the Kiva Website. This is some information on her that I got from Kiva.org.

Sector : Food
Country : Ghana
Town : Abura
Loan Amount : $600
For the past six years, Salifu Hasana has run a business preparing millet porridge to offer for sale at Akaa Kkrom near Abura. Her loan will be used to buy more bags of millet to store for future use, as prices of goods keep increasing. She hopes eventually to use the new profits from her business to buy a piece of land. She is unmarried and has one child. As the sole breadwinner of the home, she provides for the needs of the family. Salifu is shown in the picture with the millet she uses to make her porridge.

Ghana is a pretty poor country and most of the towns don't even have electricity!
